Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Moved to KC two years ago and hadn't found a pizza delivery place until now with Sarpino's. The hunt is over and we look forward to many more Sarpino pizzas in our future.

Place was efficient with lots of workers, but to me pizza was just fair and bothered all of our stomachs for the evening. Will try another place next time, but the pizza here was nothing special I would run back too.

I was super excited to find out I had late night delivery options! ....until I got my pizza. It was cold.. and after biting into it... I got a mouthful of uncooked dough :/ I initially thought... I'll have to try ot another time. But when I called to report it I got "I don't know why that would happen" followed by silence... From super excited to super disappointed
(1)Tony A.
People who say this is good pizza on Yelp have never had good pizza. But I'm not going to lie, I will just eat about any kind of pizza because pizza is just inherently good. But when we have so many options, why get mediocre pizza like Sarpinos? My first and last experience with Sarpinos was tonight. The very friendly voice on the phone encouraged me to order online which I was happy to do. I always order my pizza "well done" and the pizza definitely was not well done. Like others have pointed out here, the pizza was mushy, undercooked, and the cheese easily separated from the pie crust. Gross. There was a clear and obvious lack of toppings and I can say that I don't think there were more than 4-5 pieces of sundried tomato on the whole pizza. Honestly guys...this is supermarket pizza. With all the great options around here I cannot conceive why anyone would patronize these folks.
(2)A D.
Did you guys really just deliver burnt wings? How can it burnt food make it out the door is there no quality control? When I called in the manager was very nonchalant. Who does this crap service way to treat a customer.
(1)Michelle C.
My first experience was beyond a fast food pizza chain. The pizza blew my mind! I couldn't wait until the next opportunity presented itself to order pizza again... Fast forward and a few more orders later, and I'm disappointed and wondering if the first phenomenal order was a fluke. My order has been wrong every single time, no matter how I ordered it (online, phone, walk-in) it was wrong! Not only was it wrong, they argued with me about my order... Bummer bummer
(2)Aubrey D.
I've never given an establishment such a low rating. However this was a no brainer.... 1. The girl who took our order on the phone was rude. The way she talked to me was as though I was an inconvenience to her. 2. The pizza took 1 hour, 10 minutes to arrive. 3. The pizza was incredible small. A medium looks like an individual and a large is anything but. 4. The pizza was soggy. 5. The pizza was very greasy. Honestly, we would have been better off buying a frozen pizza. Not reccommended!

I think my expectations were high from reading others reviews . I'm from the Chicago area so I'm always looking for good pizza around here. Personally I felt it was a more expensive Papa Johns (they even put a pepper in the box). The crust tasted exactly the same to me. My husband thought it was better than PJ's but I'd rather have garlic butter dip. They do have coupons so keep an eye out for them, they have them at the pick up counter, we live too far so I'm not sure if they come in the mail or not but they are a much better deal. You can also order online which I think they have deals on there too. One major plus is they are open until 2am so if you are looking for something late night it's much better than horrible mcdonalds.
(3)Matt K.
We ordinarily love Sarpinos...but it's now been more than 90 minutes since we placed our online order, and we have yet to see our pizza. Unacceptable, Sarpinos. It was listed as "out for delivery" nearly an hour ago...and your store is less than 5 minutes away from our house. Very disappointed.

Like 8,000 other people, I was in Overland Park last week for the National High School Speech and Debate championships. And like a lot of those 8,000 people, I found myself with a group of exhausted, ravenous teens part way through the week. You know the kind of kids, right? Too exhausted to go to dinner, but not too tired to complain incessantly about how they are literally wasting away. Anyway, at the suggestion of our hotel's front desk staff, we placed a rather large order with Sarpino's. Truth be told, I can't remember exactly what everyone ordered, but I can tell you that they enjoyed it so thoroughly that a few nights later, they ordered Sarpino's again. Personally, I picked up a small Tuscany pizza (Sarpino's Pizza sauce, roasted red peppers, chicken breast, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fresh garlic, green bell peppers, green olives and Sarpino's gourmet cheese blend.), along with a Caesar salad. The pizza was quite good-- particularly the crust. Though I will say that the sauce was a bit sweet for my tastes. Overall, Sarpino's is a great option if you're trapped at the Doubletree in Overland Park with a lot of teenagers. Ok, it's probably a good option outside of those extremely limited parameters, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Be prepared to wait! The restaurant is less than 3 miles away from my building. It took an hour and a half to get my two pizzas. I got an email stating that my pizzas were being prepared at 6:31, they were out for delivery at 7:26, and didn't show up until 7:50. I have ordered from here a total of three times. The first time our order arrived very promptly. The second two times we were left to wait quite a while longer than was stated when the order was made (45 to 60 minutes). As far as the quality of food: the pizza itself is tasty. My toppings were only slightly warm, and they didn't actually cut the pizzas into slices. They had scored the top, but didn't go though the bread. Over all, good stuff. I still order from here, but I make sure to do it before I think I'm starving.
(4)Dia S.
I can't even tell you how their food tastes. After waiting and hour and 10 minutes since I got an email that my order was on its way it still hasn't arrived. When I called the girl said the driver did leave when the email stated but had two stops before me. Sorry I don't want pizza that has sat in some guys car for OVER AN HOUR. That's totally unacceptable in my book.
(1)Brandon D.
If you're waiting for delivery, yes, it takes like an hour. So does pizza hut and minsky's. Speaking of which, the cheesy bread is very good. The dipping sauces have a wide variety and a lot of flavor. The salads are solid. And the pizzas are much better than average. This place is pretty good in my book and I've eaten it a few times now. Just remember to order BEFORE you start getting hungry.

This was my first experience with Sarpino's, and I wasn't impressed. My office is in the process of moving within walking distance, so last Friday, whilst working out of said office, I decided to stroll on over for a pie. They don't do slices, but they do have a $4.99 personal pizza (cheese) deal that comes with a drink. It's $1 more per topping. I love me some plain cheese pizza, so I stuck with the cheap. It took about 10 minutes and I strolled back on over to my office to dig in. It was...okay. I mean, really, it was okay. There wasn't anything really bad about it by any means, but nothing was really all that good either. It was just a plain, boring pizza. I am sure that I will be back just because my office is so close, and I certainly will try a sandwich or two in the years ahead...but note I said two sandwiches in the years ahead. I won't be flocking back here, but I won't actively avoid it.
(3)Dawn C.
Had delivery at the office day. Pizza arrived hot, hooray! The sausage is actually nice thick slices, not teeny tiny crumbles! Found the other toppings to be generous in quantity too. We chose a thin crust, but it still had plenty of loft to it. (It was not what my husband would call a "cracker pizza") Tasty. I find it hard to review one pizza versus another since I love pizza in all its glorious forms. Good balance of sauce versus cheese. I might have liked a little more Italian seasoning in the sauce, but I'm not complaining. Also, not super greasy. Or super salty.
(4)Libby J.
Sarpinos is great pizza if you need something quick and want something that has flavor. We order from Sarpinos at least once a week. They are always on time and always get our order correct. When you order online they always have a 15% off coupon available. It's a great deal! My only complaint is that when I go to pick up my order it is never ready on time. This is fine, because I would prefer to have it delivered anyway. Best of all is that they are open 365 days a week! This comes in handy when your stove quits working on Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving pizza was perfect for needing something quick and fast for our 20 relatives.
(5)Tanner F.
Sarpino's has one of the best pizza's in KC and probably in my top 5 of all time. We usually come here on Saturdays for lunch; the staff is friendly and the pizza is always great and is generally ready in 20 minutes or less. Not a large dining area but it is rarely busy. Only thing I don't like is they used to have fountain drinks with free refills and they removed it (I assume because their dine-in business didn't support it). Now you have to buy bottled pop and pay for refills. Overall, very good place to eat.
(4)TM T.
Hard to recommend this place. I ordered a calzone for lunch today: 1. They were late. 2. They forgot the marinara. 3. They did not deliver plastic utensil. So I was left eating a dry, lukewarm calzone with my hands. I got to wash it down with a warm coke.
(1)Katie G.
Delicious! I usually get a veggie calzone and a Greek salad; both of which are equally addicting! My mom had the meatball calzone and loved it as well. I prefer their calzones to their pizzas. I work late nights so this place is my saving grace. Get delivery! They are fast!
(4)Kimberly J.
This is my second time ordering delivery from Sarpino's. The first time was just about a year ago and I felt like the pizza was "meh". That was from the one in Shawnee. This delivery, however, was from 12520 Quivera store. Again, I felt that the pizza was "meh". The dough does seem fresh so it get 3 stars, but the toppings are very scarce. I ordered a pesto sauce pizza with artichoke hearts and capicola. There was ONE piece of an artichoke heart on the whole pizza. I wish I would have taken a picture to post it here, but after waiting an hour for the delivery I was pretty hungry. I only ate one piece of my personal pizza since I was wanting artichoke hearts and only got the one piece of heart on one slice of pizza. I also ordered hot/spicy buffalo wings. They are ok. They aren't saucy at all, so if you like saucy wings, these won't do it for you. I definitely won't be ordering the wings again. I may try a different pizza, but I don't think I will try their online ordering again. I may call so I can talk to a live person about the toppings or lack thereof. *****EDITED****** After writing this review, the owner, Ben, promptly send me a message apologizing and offering to have a fresh made pizza sent out to me. I accepted this offer and within minutes I got a call from the store manager saying they could send out the pizza right away. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with both the customer service of the owner and manager as well as impressed with the quality of the pizza I got as a replacement. There were plenty of toppings and the pizza tastes very fresh. This, to me, seems more in line with what I hear of Sarpino's Pizza. Also, I was informed that I could order a side of hot sauce to go with the wings (although I still like to have saucy wings AND bleu cheese). But I will keep that in mind for next time and perhaps I will try the wings again. Because of the customer service and prompt replacement of my pizza with a new freshly made pizza with plenty of toppings, I will bump this review up to a 4 star.
(4)Chrissy H.
We love Sarpinos pizza! They have a great variety and good prices. Plus, online ordering is super nice. The only negative I have is the wait.... it takes an hour, sometimes a touch longer to get the order delivered.
(4)Ryan J.
I love the pizza but the manager is a certified ass. I called to ask why my pizza was over 2 and a half hours long and his response was nothing short of shocking. I will never give this store another look.
(1)AJ W.
Very good pizza and great delivery only negative bread sticks were a little cold. Will order again.
(4)Brandon S.
The food is good, but when you order for delivery it takes over 2 hours.... But another thing I had problems with is the food was slightly cold. I would rather pick somewhere else if I was in a hurry again for some kind of fast food pizza place.
(3)Katie D.
The manager was very nice to try and make things right, by apologizing and taking care of us. It was very appreciated.
(4)Marie F.
I raised this review significantly...why the change of heart? One of the owners, Ben, contacted me about my experience and I really felt like he cared about his customers. His response to my review wasn't generic or defensive. He recommended that I ask for the Calzone "well done" if I decided to give them another try. I followed his advice and did give them another shot. I ordered the Chicken Ranch Calzone "well done". I also gave the Greek salad another go. This time the salad was really a Greek salad with olives and feta. I believe the last one was mixed up with a house salad. The calzone was actually pretty good this time. It was cooked through mostly, but still a little doughy in the middle. A great improvement over last time though. Chicken Ranch Calzone had a really good flavor. This was a phone order and the guy who answered the phone was very personable. They have so many sauces to choose from...the creamy garlic and the jalapeno ranch are exceptional. The customer service that I experienced with the owner of this business far exceeded my expectations. They really are concerned with customer satisfaction.
(3)Leslie I.
I love their pizza. Their pepperoni is perfect. We drive to get their pizza because we aren't in their delivery area and then just eat at the table there. We come here often!
(5)Kim O.
Well we were in the area and wanting to try something new. So here we are, all we had to go on were the reviews of our fellow yelper's. I was a little surprised when we entered, not much to look at and very obvious that 90% of their business is delivery. We approached the counter and picked up a menu and began making our selection. We decided to order individual pizzas for more variety. I chose the Tuscany, roasted red peppers, chicken, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fresh garlic, green peppers, and green olives and of course cheese. WOW, what a wonderful flavor combination. My boyfriend went with the Midnight Express, for those looking for a spicy, meaty pizza here you go. Spicy ground beef, salami, pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, jalapeños, and red chilli peppers, and gourmet cheese blend. With so many great looking combinations on the menu we just might have to make our way over there again. If your looking for ambiance you might want to go somewhere else but if you're wanting a good pizza you need to give them a try.
(4)Kristi N.
after my review I was very shocked that the manager called to apologize for my experience. I appreciate that he took the time to call. to me that indicated that he really cares...
(5)Kay L.
Here are the reasons why I really like Sarpino's: 1. Fresh dough. Like, you see them making it in small batches when you walk into the restaurant. 2. A nice zesty sauce. 3. Quality ingredients, generously applied. 4. Approximately four million ways to customize your order. Choose your toppings, your dipping sauces, make it as a calzone, &c. They'll do any crazy half-and-half, too, just ask them. If you can describe it, they'll probably make it. 5. Despite all this awesomeness, it's pretty reasonably priced. Yeah, you could get a cheaper pizza from the diminutive-emperor place down the road, but then you have to eat a five-dollar pizza. 6. An army of delivery guys waiting to rush your order to you -- until TWO FREAKING AM. Win!
(4)Leigh W.
Found this little gem while visiting family, we had driven but a few times in route & noticed lots of cars, usually a good sign. Small place only 4 tables & a long seating area with some bar chairs. Fantastic menu & they are busy. We both got an individual piazza so we could have our own topping choices. They have every topping I could ever imagine including some I couldn't. Smoked oysters? Yes that's right. I had fresh garlic on my pizza & it was an extra touch. Lots of sauces to pick from as well. We also split a small salad it was enough for two. Looking through the menu noticed they have reduced prices on second pizza which is nice, free delivery with no minimum purchase & a 15% discount if ordered online. Give this place a try.

After writing my review I was contacted by the owner. First, huge kudos to any owner that takes feedback from customers and the time to respond to it. That means a lot to me and will help win my business. He told me about some changes to the sandwich and pasta that they have recently made. He did not ask me to try them again, just let me know that they were working to improve things. I did try things again though, because I respected that he took time to contact me. I ordered the ravioli and was really happy with it. The sauce was delicious and the ravioli were good sized. They were filled with meat and not just a bunch of pasta with a little filling. Definitely a favorite now! (I had it the next day warmed up and it was awesome, guessing fresh from the oven is just as fantastic!) I also tried a meatball sandwich. They have changed the bread they use and now make their sandwiches with Farm to Market bread and it makes a huge difference! The bread is fantastic! The meatballs are good, well flavored and moist. The sandwich on the menu said it had marinara sauce, but actually came with what tasted like an Italian dressing. It was interesting, good, but different. I would prefer the marinara sauce, but I am not against the Italian dressing or even having both choices on the menu. Definitely some great improvements! A great place for pizza and worth giving the other entrees a try if you are tired of pizza. Kudos Sarpino's for acting on the feedback and contacting me to let me know so that I gave the other entrees a second chance! :)

I was really excited to try this place since I read such great reviews on it and I was thrilled that they took their last delivery at 2am. I ordered a pepperoni and extra cheese pizza and a NY deli pizza with extra cheese. I ordered online and was made aware it could take 45-60 minutes for delivery. That was fine since I needed a shower anyways from driving all day from Dallas TX. I got an email saying they received my order at 10:02. Then I got an email saying they were making my order at 10:03. Then I got an email saying my order was ready for delivery at 10:10. I didn't receive an email saying the delivery was on it way until until 10:45. I thought maybe it was a delay in the email process. The guy showed up at 11:15 with my order. It was cold, less than regular cheese on both pizzas, and about 15 pepperoni on the pizza. It was disgusting. I couldn't eat it. My husband ate his only because he was really hungry but said it wasn't good at all. I mean how good can a pizza be that isn't eaten until an hour after it has been made? I will not be ordering from here again. Horrible pizza, horrible service, and too expensive for both horrible service and food.
(1)Glenn D.
Ok ordered a Greek salad and it was delivered without plastic cutlery and the feta. Called to let them know and manager got on. Did not catch his name but he said he would send out another complete order! Now that is customer service. Great job.
(5)J F.
Outstanding pizza and service! Price is very comparable to the big chain's like Papa Johns, but pizza is a whole lot better... Fast delivery and I really like how they send you an email when the pizza leaves the shop on it's way to you. Very good menu with lots of choices - the Greek salad is really good!
(5)Carol W.
Although I'm still not crazy about the pizza, the sandwiches and salads are good! The menu has a great variety of different types of foods ~ which is nice.
(4)Ronn S.
I gave them a second chance and the pizza this time was 100% better as I treated the office staff and everyone was happy and well fed ! Great web service, delivery and now I can say - great pizza ......
(4)Deana W.
Just as a point of reference I'm Goldilocks in this scenerio and I've searched far and wide for the best cheese pizza. Some are greasy with cheese. Some have cheese that sticks to your teeth. While others are gloppy with too much cheese, or worse yet...not enough cheese...I shudder at the thought! Whimpy crust, cracker crust, or God forbid, burned crust. But this one is just right! The crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The perfect balance of cheese. Nutty Parmesan, tangy Feta, and creamy Ricotta. The toppings are then rounded out with Cheddar and the ever popular secret cheese blend. The Sarpino's Cheese Bonanza will change all your silly thoughts about cheese pizza being just for the kids. This is world class pizza, and Goldilocks is now fat, sassy, and just right!
(5)Colby M.
I'm a total sucker for being able to order online and delivery for the work week. Seriously, I love it. I order online and they have a TON of coupons for free food with your order...then surprise me with a 15% off coupon in addition to the coupon I used...when I checked out! AWESOME again. The delivery took less than 20 minutes and I received an email update when the food was out for delivery (11 minutes after I ordered!), and the food was hot and tasted WONDERFUL. (even the next day leftovers were awesome!!!)
(5)Scott L.
Phenomenal pizza, excellent service, very fast delivery. Very fresh ingrediants and a very diverse menu. Good value for the quality of the pizza! Wings are average but the pizza is outstanding! Always cooked to perfection and delivered hot and fresh. The kids love the 6 cheese specialty pizza and we love the New York Deli and the Midnight Express. Def recommend the thin crust. Easily 4 stars and the 5th star is because everytime we order, our phone # pops up and they have a record of what we usually order; something small but makes a big dfference. If you haven't tried Sarpino's pizza, you need to!
(5)David V.
Excellent customer service, product selection, and quality of food. You won't go wrong with this pizza
(4)Rob M.
It doesn't hurt that Sarpino's is really close to where I live! They have good pizza with many, many options -- you can see them all on their online menu. Best of all, it's open and delivers until 2:00 a.m.!!! Another victory for night owls in Johnson County. And there's no extra charge for delivery -- just the usual generous tip for the delivery person! Check out their gourmet and specialty pizzas -- there's an amazing variety. They also have calzones and some pastas, including lasagna, for delivery. There are also salads (including a Greek salad, yum!) and sandwiches. If you're ordering online you may have to dig around their site a bit to find all the features, but they're prepared to make your pizza any way you want it, with regular crust or thin crust, half-and-half, triple cheese, etc. You can even order the specialty or gourmet pizzas half-and-half! For some of those it may be easier to call in your order than doing it online. For the vegetarians among us, there are numerous options, including a vegetarian tomato sauce for the pizzas and lasagna.
(4)Heidi T.
This was my first time ordering from Sarpino's and what a great first order we had! My salad was super fresh, crispy and the Italian dressing was smooth and very delicious (I've had some that were kind of harsh or tart even) but Sarpino's dressing was very good. Also, the delivery guy was smiling when he dropped my order off -- it was genuine as if he was happy to be there. Overall, this was an excellent experience for me. I'll be having a calzone next time. :-)
(5)Meredith S.
Sometimes when a guy asks for a second chance he's sincere. I found that to be the case with Ben at Sarpino's. My calzone today was very good. It was filled to the brim with ingredients and it was warm when I picked it up. I like the build your own concept. Next time, I will have try some different ingredients and then I'll have a couple of favorites when I'm in the mood for Sarpino's. Thanks Ben for caring about your customers!
(4)L A.
Great pizza. The cheeseburger pizza is the MFing bomb!!!!
(5)Mathew L.
The best pizza I've had in Kansas so far. Also, it doesn't break my bank account when I order from this place, which is an attraction.
(4)Jordan T.
The pizza is ok, but they really screw you on toppings. I'm not a huge cheese lover but I have to order and pay for double cheese just to have what I feel is a normal amount of cheese on my pizza. I also have to order double pepperoni or double sausage just to get enough. To the owner: if you ever do read this, stop cutting corners by screwing your customers out of a regular amount of toppings.
(2)Robin H.
As I wind up my KC BBQ quest I decided on a change of pace. I cannot remember ever eating this much pork in a single week. I figured a nice veggie pizza would hit the spot. After cruising through the reviews here on yelp I settled on Sarpino's. I went to their website and ordered online to pick up- I really like when restaurants have online ordering. Anyway, I drove over to pick up my pizza and saw that it was on the edge of the KU Edwards Campus - this fact actually raised my hopes a little. I ordered a Sorrento Delight and it filled my car with the pungent aroma of garlic - I love garlic. It was tasty, the crust was chewy with a slight crunch - just the way I like it. I know I will be coming back to KC from time to time for business so I have a feeling this place may become a fallback option.
(4)Carlos L.
What a bunch of douche bags. I ordered a pizza for my peeps and a salad for me. My ONLY request was that they bring an extra box. After they dropped THAT ball, their d-bag told me that they would make it up to me. Yes, they brought me a fucking box...shortly after the people for whom the box was ordered had gone home. And this smart-ass kid shows up with a fucking box. I wound up buying a gift card for the guy who was supposed to be the recipient of the 1/2 pizza. The worst part of it was the smug attitude of the guy who was coming to "make things better." Guess what? You're a douche, too. Thanks for the box - I can't wait to talk to our folks in our procurement department to tell them that my hotel is no longer able to accept incentives - or business - from you.

Sarpino's just completely rocked my world. This very well may be the best pizza in Kansas City (let it be known that I have no qualms about crowning a franchise "Best Of" over a locally-owned business). And to think...I never would have known about this little gem if it wasn't for the rave reviews received on Yelp. There are several components that make this pizza absolutely remarkable: - Pizza sauce. Very distinct. Some of the best I've ever tasted...very zesty and sweet at the same time. Seriously...it's almost like candy. I don't know how else to describe it. - Toppings. I've never received such a charitable distribution of pepperoni in my entire life. Even better...my pepperoni was "crisped" to perfection. This is the way pepperoni should always be. My compadre ordered a hamburger pie and was also impressed with the quantity/quality of said topping. - Crust. I'll be honest. I'm not much of a crust guy, but this is nothing like your typical boring pizza crust. This is comparable to eating a breadstick fresh out of the oven. Very soft, but not doughy. There are TONS of different dipping sauces to choose from as well. It makes the crust eating experience that much more enjoyable. Price is more than fair using the online coupons. There are seemingly several different special offers available. You can customize the living daylights out of your pizza with tons of different toppings, sauces, cooking styles, etc. Online ordering is a breeze. I'm eager to try one of the specialty pizza's on my next go around (which will hopefully be very soon).
(5)Kari M.
Yummy! My neighbors introduced us to Sarpinos pizza. Since then, we have yet to go back to papa johns or pizza hut. They use fresh ingredients and they are not stingy with the toppings. You order your pizza how you like....thin, thick, cut in squares, xtra sauce, well done. However you want it. You won't be disappointed..
(5)Kev L.
An owner that cares about his/her business and actually takes the initiative to engage the community is starting to become less commonplace nowadays. As I mentioned in my previous review, I am in agreement that for MY PERSONAL TASTE, I don't find this joint to have 5 star pizza. But as also clarified, they do use fresh ingredients, and make their dough fresh. I've also decided to bump them up one star. Read below: Kev L, Thank you for the review you posted. I am glad you can appreciate the effort that goes into using fresh dough and quality ingredients. We get food deliveries in at least twice a week and are personally checking food quality to ensure freshness. It sounds like we are not your favorite joint and that is fine. I mean of course I want everybody to love my pizza, but one of the great things about pizza is that there is a style for almost every taste. We also offer a variety of non pizza items if you are ever looking for a different delivery experience (I highly recommend any of our pastas with the meat sauce, the sauce is made in house and has a great slightly sweet taste). We are a chain store, but my sister and I own this store and one of us is here virtually every day. Being part of a franchise has a lot of benefits that help us compete with larger companies while still maintaining some individuality. In fact our store just introduced a new local pizza, the chili cheese dog pizza (my sister's fiance's personal creation). We also try to be very involved in the local community, constantly participating in fundraisers or donating to local events. As for our prices, we are constantly running specials and coupons if you are looking to save some money. Just ask for our current coupons when you call (one great special we have right now is a medium specialty, medium one topping, 2 liter of soda, and an 8" dessert sticks for only $19.99). Also keep in mind that unlike many delivery places we don't charge any sort of delivery fee or have a minimum order. If you ever think of anything we can do better please let me know personally. I am always available here on yelp, and often available in store at night (Anne, my sister, works days, I work nights). So thanks again for the review and for being active in using yelp (it is such a great resource for finding out about local businesses, I end up browsing the reviews all the time). Sincerely, Ben H.

Best pizza around hands down!! We usually just stick to pepperoni but it has so much flavor! I also enjoy the Italian sandwich and the cheese bread!

Lets be serious here; this is OK pizza at best. I am not a huge fan of delivery, fast food type pizza. But like everyone else, I order the occasional pie. To be completely honest, I'd rather have a slice of Papa Johns if we are talking delivery. The only reason this place gets 3 stars from me instead of 2 is that they are the only place I know that delivers at 2:30am. Had I written this review while mowing through a bacon bacon pizza (my preference when drunk, Canadian bacon and American bacon) after a long night of drinking, then maybe this place would get 5 stars. But you must be drinkin if you think this is 5 star pie sober. If its still light outside, call another joint. If you've had a few too many and can't get anyone to drive you to taco bell, go with Sarpinos.

It's not New York pizza, but it's still pretty darn good! I love that I can just go online and order. I can also customize my pizza. I love their creamy garlic dipping sauce. If you try it, just don't plan on kissing anyone! I've tried their sandwiches, and they are just ok. Delivery is fast. Can't go wrong with Sarpino's!
(4)Alliey D.
This is the best late-night pizza place! My boyfriend and I have been ordering it atleast once a week for a few months now and they are always friendly, delicious, and punctual. FYI- if you order online, they have really great specials AND they are open till 2 AM (late night cravings, anyone?).
(5)Ashlee S.
I have ordered their pizza twice now, and I am quite impressed, which doesn't happen often. Super fast delivery, awesome food, and I will be a loyal customer in the future. Pizza Hut and Papa Johns can forget it.
(5)Kent S.
Second time we've ordered from Sarpino's, both times the pizza was outstanding. The crust was vey flavorful and plentiful toppings. This time we ordered a Canadian bacon and pineapple, and the chunks of pineapple were huge! Ordering online was flawless and pickup fast. Only suggestion is to offer an estimated pickup time in the text confirmation and a text alert five minutes before it's ready instead of when it's done. I certainly recommend it and I believe this is where we will be ordering pizza from now on.

We get a TON of junkmail at the apartments I live at and I usually just chuck it all in the recycling bin. But being a take out/delivery order junkie, the Sarpino's flyer caught my eye. My boyfriend and I gave it a try this week and were very impressed. Not just with the food, but with the fact that they're open until 2am and there is no minimum dollar amount in order for them to deliver. The delivery took about a half an hour and the deilvery guy was super friendly. The food is awesome! We ordered the Cheese Bonanza pizza which had parmesan, cheddar, ricotta and feta cheeses. Amazing! Their cheesy bread was really good, too. Aside from pizza, they offer pastas, salads, sandwiches, calzones and desserts. And they have cheesecake! I can't wait to try them out again.
(5)Dustin K.
it was ok. I ordered red hot sauce thinking, hoping it would be Frank's Red Hot sauce...yeah it was salsa. Not bad but not great.
(2)Shahnaz K.
Decent pizza for delivery to Chase Suites when nothing else was available. Delivery time was slightly longer than estimated.

I first found out about Sarpinos while browsing this site for someplace for dinner. I'm pregnant and some days I have a craving I just can't define. That particular day, Sarpinos fit the bill. The fact they delivered and my poor husband didn't have to get up yet again after changing into his pajamas, made it all the better. He and I ordered Calzones and the kids opted for Pizza. The kids loved the pizza which as usual, was a bacon pizza. The crust was amazing, with just a tiny bit of crunch around the edges. The cheese and sauce were great too. The calzones, however, were out of this world. You get dipping sauces with them and they rock. My calzone was meatball, ricotta cheese and roasted red peppers. WOW! I've ordered it at least 5 times since that night. My husband loved his as well and had a bunch of different meats in his. We were hooked. We also ordered dessert pizza and holy smokes, their raspberry and mango dessert pizza is off the hook! It has sweet crumbles and icing on top. Get the small, it's still huge. We became huge sarpinos fans that night and have ordered many times since. We've ordered delivery for lunch at work as well and their meatball sub and italian sandwich are very very good. The service is always excellent. They are locally owned, and really take pride in their food and service.

Here's what you need to know about Sarpino's 1. This is not competition for price or quality with Papa John's or Pizza Hut. They use fresh ingredients, have a huge variety and aren't stingy with them. You are getting something better here, and you pay for it-and i think that's as it should be. Me + one person usually pay about $30 after tip for cheese sticks and two personal pizzas, or one big one. 2. The deliver until 2:30. Having lived in areas where I could get a variety of cuisines delivered at all hours this is a huge plus to my lazy, late eating self. 3. They have the best olive oil ever. I'm a huge olive oil fan and I think it's so good, grab one as a dipping sauce. 4. There is always a special, call em up and tell them what you want and ask if there's a way to save money. 5. That being said you can order on line, which is great if you are like my group of friends and no one wants to be negotiating with the pizza place and your most likely inebriated friends to figure out what's going on. 6. They are customization kings. I like a light bake on my cheese bread, this is in a drop down menu on line. Do you like light sauce etc? Just let em know. 7. They offer lots of other stuff, I've had salads and Calzones from here and enjoyed them both. 8. There's a million special combo pizzas here, I like to make my own, but my frequent dining partner is obsessed with the Santa Fe Chicken and the Tuscan one too. In summary; you pay for and get quality, there are tons of options, they take special instructions and go all night long...if they could turn this into a dating service they'd have enough money to give away the pizza :)

Excellent calzones and wings. Delivery service is excellent too!

In the vast pizza wasteland that is the Kansas City Metro area, I have tried many local pies and all of them come up short of even Papa John's. Sarpino's however does in fact surpass Papa Johns and is the best I have had in the KC area. The toppings are numerous and there is enough sauce on the pie that the entire crust is reliably covered. The type is close to NY style, except the crust is not as bagel/soft pretzel like, but still better than all of the local KC metro area based pizza places. Their on line ordering system is great, and when I order, I just show up at Sarpinos 15 min later and the correct pie is done and waiting for me.

friday i was more in a lasanga mood its a common fall dish that i normally go and visit my favorite lasangas over the city. but i didnt feel like doing anything but waiting for the delivery guy.. so Sarpinos! i gave it a try and ordered it with a small personal pizza and cheesesticks..that order fed me all weekend for dinners and today for lunch. i liked that you can customize your lasanga,, want all veggie? they have it as an option.. prefer meat sauce they got you covered.. want meatballs? you can add that too.extra sauce lovers? you got it.. no problem thanks to the online ordering customizing.. they have this as well with the pizza.. but it really was nice for the lasanga to see that option. the lasanga comes enough for two nice sized portions with a 8 inch cheesestick side. it was VERY good reheated which sometimes lasanga takeout gets gummy and there isnt enough sauce. this did not even the second half was very good. i liked the flavors the meld between the ricotta and the meat sauce and noodles was excellent.. much easier than trying to make a pan and eating lasanga for days here.. and it was reasonable $8 .. for me.. $8 for a good lasanga that feeds me for two meals .. happy happy joy joy..
(4)Dylan K.
Awesome pizza, it was the best authentic Chicago pizza i've had in a long time, their estimates on how long it will be before the food is ready but with the exception of that, perfect pizza!
(5)Phillip H.
Ok, So this is great pizza. I like the variety and the fact that they are open late (2:00AM). I also like that I can get other things besides pizza, ie: wings, salads, sandwiches and pasta. But the best part about this pizzeria is the management. Ok I am biased, Anne and Ben Harris are the owners and they are my kids. That being said they have a great work ethic and know how to make their customers happy.
(5)Lahedrick23 ..
(1)Christine P.
Moved to KC two years ago and hadn't found a pizza delivery place until now with Sarpino's. The hunt is over and we look forward to many more Sarpino pizzas in our future.
(5)Hadlee G.
Place was efficient with lots of workers, but to me pizza was just fair and bothered all of our stomachs for the evening. Will try another place next time, but the pizza here was nothing special I would run back too.
(3)David V.
Excellent customer service, product selection, and quality of food. You won't go wrong with this pizza
(4)Glenn D.
(5)Tony A.
(1)Tonya D.

Although I'm still not crazy about the pizza, the sandwiches and salads are good! The menu has a great variety of different types of foods ~ which is nice.

I gave them a second chance and the pizza this time was 100% better as I treated the office staff and everyone was happy and well fed ! Great web service, delivery and now I can say - great pizza ......

(5)Nicole B.
(5)Rob M.

(4)Stacy M.
Best pizza around hands down!! We usually just stick to pepperoni but it has so much flavor! I also enjoy the Italian sandwich and the cheese bread!
(5)Chris D.
(3)Kent S.
(4)Sarah B.

(4)Tony A.

(4)Glenn D.

(1)Chris D.
(3)Nicole B.
(4)Sarah B.

Delivery service is excellent too!

friday i was more in a lasanga mood its a common fall dish that i normally go and visit my favorite lasangas over the city. but i didnt feel like doing anything but waiting for the delivery guy.. so Sarpinos! i gave it a try and ordered it with a small personal pizza and cheesesticks..that order fed me all weekend for dinners and today for lunch. i liked that you can customize your lasanga,, want all veggie? they have it as an option.. prefer meat sauce they got you covered.. want meatballs? you can add that too.extra sauce lovers? you got it.. no problem thanks to the online ordering customizing.. they have this as well with the pizza.. but it really was nice for the lasanga to see that option. the lasanga comes enough for two nice sized portions with a 8 inch cheesestick side. it was VERY good reheated which sometimes lasanga takeout gets gummy and there isnt enough sauce. this did not even the second half was very good. i liked the flavors the meld between the ricotta and the meat sauce and noodles was excellent.. much easier than trying to make a pan and eating lasanga for days here.. and it was reasonable $8 ..
